HomeMy WebLinkAbout1983-03-09; Planning Commission; Resolution 2092c .' 7 ., m m 1 PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 2092 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBADl CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A ZONE CODE AMENDMENT, AMENDING TITLE 21, CHAPTER 21.44, OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE ADDITION OF SECTION 21.44.165 REGULATING THE PARKING OF PRIVATE AND RECREATIONAL VEHICLES IN THE FRONT YARD AND STREET SIDE YARD AREAS OF RESIDENTIAL LOTS. APPLICANT: CITY OF CARLSBAD CASE NO.: ZCA-154 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did, on the 12th c January, 1983, hold a duly noticed public hearing as prescr! law to consider said request; and WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and , considering all testimony and arguments, if any, of all per: desiring to be heard, said Commission considered all factor: relating to the zone code amendment. 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 hereof, based on the following findings: 21 Commission recommends APPROVAL of ZCA-154, according to WHEREAS, this item was reconsidered by the Plannin! Commission on March 9, 1983, at the direction of the City Cc NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Plann: Commission as follows: A) That the above recitations are true and correct. ZCA-154 1 ii ORDINANCE NO. 2 4 51 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF -; CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 21, CHAPTER i' 21.44, OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY THE ADDITION OF SECTION 21.44.165 TO REGULATE THE PARKING OF VEHICLES ON RESIDENTIAL LOTS. 5 The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, Californ 6 ordain as follows: 7 SECTION 1: Title 21, Chapter 21.44, of the Carlsk 8 Municipal Code is amended by the addition ~f Section 21,44, g read as follows: I1 10 (a) Standard lots: 11 21.44.165 Off Street Parking - Residential Zones. residential zones ths following parking regulations shall z (1) No vehicles shall be parked in the requ: 12 front yard except on a paved driveway or parking area whicl not exceed thirty percent of the required front yard area.( 13 area that is comprised of twenty-four feet of width extend1 the property line to the front of the building, whichever 14 greater.
