PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 2103
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF AN
AMENDMENT TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLA
RESIDENTIAL LOW-MEDIUM (RLM) TO RESIDENTIAL MEDIUM (
PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED ON THE NORTHWEST CORNER 0
CHINQUAPIN AVENUE AND INTERSTATE 5.

WHEREAS, a verified application for an amendment to
'General Plan designation for certain property located, as shc
Exhibit "A", dated March 30, 1983, attached and incorporated
herein, have been filed with the Planning Commission; and

WHEREAS, said verified application constitutes a rec
for amendment as provided in Title 21 of the Carlsbad MUniCiF
Code; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did, on the 13th da
April., 1983-, hold a duly noticed public hearing as prescribed
law to consider said request;

21 Commission of the City of Carlsbad, as follows:
22 A) That the above recitations are true and correct.
23 B) That in view of the findings made and considering the
24 applicable law, the decision of the Planning Commission i
recommend approval of GPA-67( B)., as shown on Exhibit "A".,
25 March 30, 1983.
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and
considering all testimony and arguments', if any, of all persc
desiring to be heard, said Commission considered all factors
relating to the General Plan Amendment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Plannir

Findings:
1) The RM designation would provide a transitional land use
between the adjacent single family homes and the 1-5 free
2) The uses allowed in the RM designation can be adequately buffered from noise impacts of Interstate 5.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of
Planning Commission of the City of Carlsbad, California, held
the 13th day of April, 1983, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES : chairman sch&huhr, comnissioners Wcus, Rmnbotis
NOES : None.
ABSENT : Catmissioner Jose.
ABSTAIN : None.
