HomeMy WebLinkAbout1983-08-24; Planning Commission; Resolution 2168t. k e 0 I. // PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 2168 2 3 4 5 6 7 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF AN Ab TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN FROM EX7 REGIONAL RETAIL (RRE) TO TRAVEL SERVICE (TS) ON 3.8 OF PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED BETWEEN INTERSTATE 5 f AVEMIDA ENCINAS APPROXIMATELY 700 FEET NORTH OF PAL( AIRPORT ROAD. APPLICANT: PALOMAR & CO. CASE NO.: GPA/LU 83-1 WHEREAS, a verified application for an amendment to 8 9 10 General Plan designation for certain property located, as shc Exhibit "A", dated July 26, 1983, attached and incorporated I: have been filed with the Planning Commission; and l1 I1 WHEREAS, said verified applications constitute a rec 121/for amendment as provided in Title 21 of the Carlsbad Municir l3 11 Code; and - 14 11 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did, on the 24th dz 151iAugust, 1983, hold a duly noticed public hearing as prescribe ''/Ilaw to consider said request; 17 18 WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and considering all testimony and arguments, if any, of all persc 19 I desiring to be heard, said Commission considered all factors relating to the General Plan Amendment. 20 21 22 23 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Plannir Commission of the City of Carlsbad, as follows: A) That the above recitations are true and correct. 24 B) That in view of the findings made and considering the 25 dated July 26, 1983. 26 recommend APPROVAL of GPA/LU 83-1, as shown on Exhibit "P applicable law, the decision of the Planning Commission i 27 //// ll 28 //// /I L II e e 1 Findings: 2 1. The property is physically suitable for Travel Service use 3 4 because it is highly visible and easily accessible from designation are compatible with the future surrounding lar 5 Interstate 5 and Palomar Airport Road. 2.
