HomeMy WebLinkAbout1983-10-26; Planning Commission; Resolution 2212II e 4 j -3 /I 1 II PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 2212 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A ZONE CHANGE FROM COUNTY E-1-A ZONE TO CITY OF CARLSBAD RD-M(Q) AND 0-S ON PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCA' IMMEDIATELY SOUTH OF PALOMAR AIRPORT BUSINESS PARK, 1500 FEET WEST OF EL CAMINO REAL. APPLICANT: ROBERT'S GROUP CASE NO: ZC-281 WHEREAS, a verified application for certain propert wit: The northwest corner of the southwest corner of Sec 23, township 12 south, range 4 west, San Bernardino meridian, in San Diego County 10 Planning Commission; and 11 has been filed with the City of Carlsbad, and referred to th 12 WHEREAS, said application constitutes a request as 1311 provided by Title 21 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code; and 14 relating to the Zone Change; and 20 desiring to be heard, said Commission considered all factor: 19 considering all testimony and arguments, if any, of all pers 18 WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and 17 law to consider said request; and 16 October, 1983, hold a duly noticed public hearing as prescri 15 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did on the 26th da 21 B) That based on the evidence presented at the public hearj 24 A) That the foregoing recitations are true and correct. 23 Commission as follows: 22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Planni Commission recommends APPROVAL of ZC-281, based on the following findings and subject to the following conditic 25 I 26 27 Findings: since the land uses associated with this zone are compal 1) The RD-M zone is suitable for the western portion Of th: 28 with surrounding existing and future land uses. with the RM & RMH general plan designation and are comp; ll -. % e 6 1 2) The subject property is suitable in size and shape to accommodate development permitted in the RD-M(Q) zone as 2 discussed in the staff report. 3 3) All significant environmental issues have been mitigated or social or economic factors exist which override these 4 the project has been changed so as to mitigate these imp impacts as described below: 5 A) Grading 6 7 8 9 LO 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 Impacts: Development per the requested general pla amendment could result in extensive grading with la and fill slopes.
