A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING
APPROVAL OF SPECIFIC PLAN 19(A), FOR AN
AMENDMENT TO THE EXISTING SPECIFIC PLAN TO
REGULATE SIGNING ON PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED
BETWEEN CANNON ROAD AND PALOMAR AIRPORT ROAD. APPLICANT: CITY OF CARLSBAD

WHEREAS, said verified application constitutes a rec
provided by Title 21 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did, on the 11th d:
April, 1984 and on the 9th day of May, 1984, hold a duly no1
public hearing as prescribed by law, to consider said reque:

Signs permitted without a conditional use permit shall me

In addition to the signs permitted without a conditional
permit, the following signs may be permitted when more tl dealership is located on one lot if a conditional use pel
approved by the Planning Commission:
a) Monument signs, not greater than six feet in height
eight feet in length or pole signs not to exceed twf
feet in height.
1) Any signs must be located at least fifty feet :
any interior property line.
2) The sign shall not be erected within two hundrc
feet of another freestanding sign on the same
property.
3) The signs shall be so oriented that the primar; is from surface streets; Interstate 5 or Highw;
