PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 2517
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, DENYING A 36
LOT TENTATIVE TRACT MAP AND 35 UNIT LA COSTA
DEVELOPMENT PERMIT ON PROPERTY GENERALLY
LOCATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF MISION ESTANCIA
APPROXIMATELY 280 FEET SOUTH OF LA COSTA
AVENUE.
APPLICANT: PARK VIEW EAST
CASE NO: CT 85-21/LCDP 85-3
WHEREAS, a verified application for certain property, to
wit:
Farce1 4 of Parcel Nap No. 13524, City of Carlsbad,
County of San Diego, State of California,
has been filed with the City of Carlsbad, and referred to the
Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, said verified application constitutes a request
as provided by Title 21 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did, on the 11 th day of
December, 1985, and on the 8th day of January, 1986, hold a duly
noticed public hearing as prescribed by law, to consider said
request; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and
considering all testimony and arguments, if any, of all persons
desiring to be heard, said Commission considered all factors
relating to the Tentative Tract Map and Condominium Permit; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Planning
Commission as follows:
A) That the foregoing recitations are true and correct.
B) That based on the evidence presented at the public hearing, th
Commission hereby DENIES CT-85-21/LCDP 85-3, based on the
following findings:

Findings:
1) The proposed project will incrementally contribute to
unresolved traffic problems in the La Costa area,
particularly on La Costa Avenue.
2) The 24' wide private streets serving the project are too narrow to provide adequate parking and safe circulation.
I 5 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the

Planning Commission of the City of Carlsbad, California, held on
the 8th day of January, 1986, by the following vote, to wit:
