I1 PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 2526 2 3 4 5 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A ZONE CHANGE FROM RD-M TO RD-M 6 -5-9 ON PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF LA COSTA AVENUE, WEST OF LA CORUNA PLACE. APPLICANT: CITY OF CARLSBAD CASE NO: zc-337 6 7 WHEREAS, a verified application for certain property, to wit: 8 9 Lot 180 of La Costa Unit 1 according to Map No. 6117 filed June 3, 1968, 10 Planning Commission; and 11 has been filed with the City of Carlsbad, and referred to the 12 WHEREAS, said application constitutes a request as 13 14 provided by Title 21 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code; and 18 WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and 17 law to consider said request; and 16 January, 1986, hold a duly noticed public hearing as prescribed by 15 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did on the 8th day of relating to the Zone Change; and 20 desiring to be heard, said Commission considered all factors 19 considering all testimony and arguments, if any, of all persons 21 //// 27 //// 26 following findings and subject to the following conditions: 25 B) That based on the evidence presented at the public hearing, the 24 A) That the above recitations are true and correct. 23 Commission as follows: 22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Planning Commission recommends APPROVAL of ZC-337, based on the 28 //// . Yt 0 w 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 Findings: 1) The proposed zone change is consistent with the City's Gener Plan since the RD-M 6.5-4 zone is consistent with and implements the Residential Medium Density land use designati proposed for the site, as discussed in the staff report. 2) The proposed zone change is consistent and compatible with surrounding residential land uses and zoning because it woul limit the ultimate development intensity on the property to maximum of 6.5 du/ac. Since the property has -8 of an acre which can be used for density credit, the maximum number of dwelling units allowed would be five. 3) This action will not cause any significant environmental impacts and a' Negative Declaration has been issued by the Planning Director on December 14, 1985, and recommended for approval by the Planning Commission on January 8, 1986. Condition: 1) Approval is granted for ZC-337 as shown on Exhibit "B" dated January 8, 1986, attached and incorporated herein. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Planning Commission of the City of Carlsbad, California, held on the 8th day of January, 1986, by the following vote, to wit: AYES : Chairman Schlehuber, Commissioners: McBane, Marcus, Smith, Holmes & Hall.
