A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF CAKLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN AS SHOWN ON EXHIBIT "B" DATED JULY 30, 1986 FOR PROPERTIES GENERaLLY LOCATED IN THE MEA
COVERED BY THE SEAPOINTE-CARLSBAD LAND USE STUDY APPLICANT: SEAPOINTE-CAKLSBAD CASE NO.: GPA/LU 85-9
WHEKEAS, a verified application for an amendment to the
8/beneral Plan designation for certain property located, as shown on
9 'Zxhi.bit "B'I, dated July 30, 1986, attached and incorporated
lo 'xrein, has been filed with the Planning Commission; and

WHEREAS, said verified application constitutes a request
for amendment as provided in Title 21 of the Carlsbad Municipal
14 11 WHEREAS, the .Planning Commission did, on the 13th day of
151/4ugust, 1986, hold a duly noticed public hearing as prescribed by
l6 iaaw to consider said request;
17 11 WHEKEAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and
18iLonsideri11g all testimony and arguments, if any, of all persons
19 lj Igesiring to be heard, said Commission considered all factors
2o ILelating to the General Plan Amendment.
21 II NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Planning
22/Commission of the City of Carlsbad, as follows:
23 p) That the above recitations are true and correct. ::L

That based on the evidence presented at the public hearing, the Commission recommends APPKOVAL of GPA/LU 85-9, as shown on Exhibit "B" dated July 30, 1986 attached hereto and made a

part hereof based on the following findings:
The subject properties are physically suitable for
development permitted by the respective land use designations as discussed in the attached staff report and expanded on in the Seapointe-Car-lsbad Land Use Study.

1 2) The uses allowed in the proposed land use designations will be compatible with existing and future surrounding land uses as discussed in the attached staff report and the Seapointe- 2 Carlsbad Land Use Study.
3 3) A detailed traffic study has revealed that the proposed General Plan Amendments will not adversely impact 4 circulation in this portion of Carlsbad.
5 4) This action will not cause any significant environmental I

approval by the Planning Commission on August 13, 1986. 7
Planning Director on July 5, 1986 and recommended for 6 impact and a Negative Declaration has been issued by the

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
:?lanning Commission of the City of Carlsbad, California, held on
