PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 2585
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A ZONE
CHANGE TO BRING THE DESIGNATIONS ON THE GENERAL PLAN MAP, ZONING MAP AND LOCAL COASTAL PLAN MAP INTO CONFORMANCY ON PROPERTIES LOCATED IN THE CITY OF CARLSBAD. APPLICANT: CITY OF CARLSBAD
CASE NO. : 26-347
WHEREAS, a verified application for certain property, has I
been filed with the City of Carlsbad, and referred to the Planning
Commission; and
WHER'EAS, said application constitutes a request as
provided by Title 21 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did on the 30th day of
July, 1986, hold a duly noticed public hearing as prescribed by law
to consider the proposed Zone Changes shown on Exhibits "A", "C",
"E!#, 11L11, IlM!!, llpll , "T", llII1l-llLL'l, dated July 14, 1986 and;
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did on the 13th day of

August, 1986 hold a duly noticed public hearing as prescribed by
law to consider the proposed Zone Changes shown on Exhibits "D" ,
11F" , I'J", b "EE" dated, July 14, 1986 and Exhibit "0" dated August
5, 1986; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearings, upon hearing and

considering all testimony and arguments, if any, of all persons
desiring to be heard, said Commission considered all factors
relating to the Zone Change; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the ?lanning
Commission as follows:

A) That the above recitations are true and correct.

B) That based on the evidence presented at the public hearing, the Commission recommends APPROVAL of ZC-347 as shown on
"LL", dated July 14, i986 and I1 0 ' II dated ALgust'5, 1986,
attached hereto and made a part hereof based on the following
findings :

Findings:
I) The proposed zone changes will bring the designations on the General Plan Map, Zoning Map and Local Coastal Plan Map into
conformancy as required by State law.
2) The recommended zone changes are appropriate for the properties involved because the changes will allow for
development on these sites which will be compatible with
surrounding development for the reasons stated in the staff
report.
3) The recommended zone changes within the Coastal Zone to bring zoning designations into conformance with General Plan designations and Local Coastal Plan designations are exempt from environmental review per Section 15265A1 of the
California Environmental Quality Act.
4) The Planning Director has determined that the recommended
zone changes outside of the Coastal Zone will not cause any significant environmental impacts and issued Negative
Declarations on July 12, 1986 which were approved by the Planning Commission on August 13, 1986.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
Planning Commission of the City of Carlsbad, California, held on
the 27th day of August, 1986, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES : Chairman Schlehuber, Commissioners: Marcus, Schramm and Hall.
NOES : Commissioners: McFadden and Holmes.
ABSENT: Commissioner McB
