PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 2703
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF
AN AMENDMENT TO THE CARLSBAD LOCAL COASTAL PLAN,
NATION FOR THE LYMAN PROPERTY AND THE SAVAGE PROPERTY
NEAR BATIQUITOS LAGOON.
APPLICANT: CITY OF CARLSBAD
CASE NO: LCPA 87-6 (LCPA 87-2C)
WHEREAS, California state law requires that the Local
MELLO I1 SEGMENT TO CHANGE THE LAND USE MAP DESIGA-
TO MODIFY POLICY 3-3 REGARDING ALLOWABLE DENSITIES
Coastal Plan and General Plan designations for properties in the
Coastal Zone be in conformance;
WHEREAS, a verified application for an amendment to the
Local Coastal Plan designation for certain property located, as
shown on Exhibit "2'l, dated September 30, 1987, attached and
incorporated herein, has been filed with the Planning Commission;
and
WHEREAS, said verified application constitutes a request
as provided in Title 21 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did, on the 4th and 12th
day of November, 1987, hold a duly noticed public hearing as
prescribed by law to consider the proposed Local Coastal Plan
Amendment shown on Exhibits "B" and ''C" , and;
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and
considering all testimony and arguments, if any, of all persons
desiring to be heard, said Commission considered all factors
relating to the Local Coastal Plan Amendment.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Planning '
as shown on Exhibits I'B" and 'IC" dated September 30, 1987,
the Commission recommends APPROVAL of LCPA 87-6 (LCPA 87-2C) 4

1. The proposed amendment is consistent with the Coastal Act
of 1976 as implemented by the Certified Carlsbad LCP.
2. The proposed amendment is necessary to bring Carlsbad's
General Plan and Local Coastal Program into conformance.
