HomeMy WebLinkAbout1988-07-06; Planning Commission; Resolution 2745=, ll 0 e 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 I PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 2745 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A ZONE CHANGE FROM P-M, L-C AND R-P TO PM-Q, OS, AND RECONFIGURATION OF L-C AND R-P ON PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF PALOMAR AIRPORT ROAD, ABOUT ONE-QUARTER MILE EAST OF PASEO DEL NORTE. APPLICANT: CARLSBAD RANCH BUSINESS CENTER CASE NO: ZC 87-1 WHEREAS, a verified application for certain property, to wit: Parcel ftAff of Parcel Map 2949 and Portion of Lot H of Rancho Agua Hedionda. Map No. 823, in the City of Carlsbad, County of San Diego, State of California has been filed with the City of Carlsbad, and referred to the Planning Commission; and WHEREAS, said application constitutes a request as provided by Title 21 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did on the 15th day of June, 1988 and 6th day of July, 1988, hold duly noticed public hearings as prescribed by law to consider said request; and WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and considering all testimony and arguments, if any, of all persons desiring to be heard, said Commission considered all factors relating to the Zone Change; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Planning Commission as follows: A) That the foregoing recitations are true and correct. B) That based on the evidence presented at the public hearing, the Commission recommends APPROVAL of ZC 87-1, based on the following findings and subject to the following conditions: ... b* * ~ 11 0 0 a 2 3 4 5 6 7 a 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 1 !! 11 11 j 1 , ~ /I )I ‘I // I I Findinqs : 1) The Zone Change is consistent with the General Plan and Local Coastal Program designations of Planned Industrial (PI) , Open Space (OS) , and Travel Service/Of fice (TS/O) , which presently exist on the property. 2) The Zone Change will be compatible with surrounding zoning and land uses such as office, commercial and industrial. Residential to the south is separated by open space wetlands and steep slopes. Conditions: 1) Exhibit ltX1t dated May 29, 1988 will be incorporated into the City of Carlsbad Zoning Map. PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Planning Commission of the City of Carlsbad, California, held on the 6th day of July, 1988 by the following vote, to wit: AYES : Chairman McFadden, Commissioners: Marcus, Schlehuber, Holmes & Schramm.
