PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED EAST OF EL CAMINO REAL BETWEEN PALOMAR AIRPORT ROAD AND FARADAY DRIVE APPLICANT: COSTA REAL MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT SUP 88-2, FOR A WATER DISTRICT OPERATION CENTER ON CASE NO: SUP 88-2 WHEREAS, a verified application has been filed with t Carlsbad and referred to the Planning Commission; and WHEREAS, said verified application constitutes a request l by Title 21 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Planning Commission did, on the 1st day of March, 1989, consider si on property described as: "That portion of that certain road easement lying within Lot "6" of Rancho Agua Hedionda, in the County of San Diego, State of California according to Map thereof No. 823, on file in the Office of the County Recorder of said County reserved in Parcel 2 of deed to the Carlsbad Municipal Water District recorded August 3, 1973 in said Recorders Office as File/Page No. 73-215694 lying Westerly of the Westerly 1 ine of a strip of land 43.0C feet in width, the sidelines of said strip being 24.0C feet on each side of the centerline." WUEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and cons testimony and arguments, if any, of all persons desiring to be Commission considered all factors relating to SUP 88-2. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the P1 anni ng Cc the City of Carl sbad as follows: A) That the foregoing recitations are true and correct. The project enhances the scenic qualities of the El Camino Re consistent with the corridor's development standards by pr attractive "Campus Type" devel opment, appropriately subdue minimal site grading and a sixty foot landscaped setback alon Real . 2. The project protects scenic views and traffic safety along El by providing an attractive building within extensively landsca and by contributing to a landscaped median in El Camino Real. 4. The project is consistent with all City public facility pc ordinances since: a. The Planning Commission has, by inclusion of an condition to this project, ensured building permits v issued for the project unless the City Engineer dete sewer service is available, and building cannot occur project unless sewer service remains avai 1 ab1 e, and t Commission is satisfied that the requirements of Faci 1 i ties Element of the General P1 an have been met inst apply to sewer service for this project. b. School fees will be paid to ensure the availabil i ty of s facilities in the Carlsbad School District. c. Park-in-lieu fees are required as a condition of approv d. All necessary pub1 ic improvements have been provided required as conditions of approval. 5. The proposed project is compatible with the surrounding futur since surrounding properties are designated for official development on the General P1 an. 6. This project is consistent with the City's Growth Management C it has been conditioned to comply with any requirement appro of the Local Facilities Management Plan for Zone 5. Conditions: 1. Approval is granted for SUP 88-2, as shown on Exhi bits "A March 1, 1989, incorporated by reference and on file in t Department. Development shall occur substantially as SI otherwise noted in these conditions. 2. Approval of SUP 88-2 is granted subject to approval of SDP 8 P1 anni ng Commi ssi on Resol uti on No. 2803.
