PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 2897
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A TWO-YEAR EXTENSION OF DC 87-1, A PERMIT TO ALLOW A LARGE FAMILY DAYCARE CENTER
1 ON PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE TERMINUS OF LA PORTALADA
DRIVE AND ADDRESSED AS 4104 LA PORTALADA. APPLICANT: KATES
CASE NO. : DC 87-1
WHEREAS, a verified application for certain property, to wit:
Lot 143, Unit No. 3, Map No. 8150. a has been filed with the City of Carl sbad, and referred to thc

10 WHEREAS, said verified application constitutes a request as p
11(/ Title 21 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code; and
l2 I/ WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did on the 20th day of May a
l3 I/ day of June, 1987 consider and approve said appl i cati on; and
14 WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did on the 19th day of I
15 consider said request to extend the application; and

WHEREAS, at said meeting, said Commission considered all factor
to the extension of the Daycare Permit.
I.8 I/ NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Planning Corn

A) That the above recitations are true and correct.
B) That based on the evidence presented at the hearing the
22 APPROVES a two-year extension of DC 87-1 based on the fol1 owil
and conditions.

24 1. The property does have adequate ingress and egress to ensur
25 dropping off and picking up of children as mitigated by the
26
27 on a low density, residential cul-de-sac street.

3. The center would be compatible with existing residential u! center, located at the end of the cul-de-sac would not be disr the single family character of the street.
4. The play area for twelve children is adequate in size and as would not cause adverse impacts to adjacent property.

5 1. This Daycare Permit extension is issued for a period of two yf

conditions approved as part of DC 87-1, in Planning Commission I No. 2663, shall apply under this extension.
7 PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
