PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 2909
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, FINDING THAT THE ACQUISITION OF ONE PARCEL AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF EL CAMINO REAL AND CAMINO HILLS DRIVE IS CONSISTENT WITH THE GENERAL PLAN. APPLICANT! CITY OF CARLSBAD

WHEREAS, a General Plan Consistency Determination is reql
made pursuant to Government Code Section 65402 prior to the acqui si ti
property for publ ic purposes; and
WHEREAS, said verified application constitutes a request i
by Title 21 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did on the 20th day of
1989, consider said request; and
WHEREAS, at said hearing, upon hearing and considering al'
and arguments, if any, of all persons desiring to be heard, said
considered all factors relating to the Planning Commission Determir
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Planning Cor
foll ows:
A) That the foregoing recitations are true and correct.
B) That based on the evidence presented at the publ ic hearing, the
APPROVES PCD/GPC 89-7, based on the following findings and sub
following conditions:
Findinqs:
1. The project is categorically exempt from CEQA pursuant to Set
of the CEQA Guidelines as it consists of the transfer of interest in land in order to preserve open space.
2. The acquisition of Assessor Parcel Number 212-050-04 loca northwest corner of El Camino Real and Camino Hi 11 s Drive is with the General Plan goal to coordinate open space uses with use for mutual enhancement and creation of a "human" urban e which includes development and expansion of recreational conservation of natural and man made amenities.
