PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 2970
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, GRANTING A STANDARDS VARIANCE FOR AVENIDA ENCINAS BETWEEN PALOMAR AIRPORT ROAD AND CANNON
ROAD. CASE NAME: PACIFIC POINTE CASE NO. : SV 89-2
WHEREAS, the applicant has requested approval of Standard
for deletion of five-foot parkway requirements along Avenida Encina
WHEREAS, staff has reviewed said request and can make the
findings for a Standards Variance; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said reque
make the necessary findings.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Planning Corn
the City of Carlsbad as follows:
A) That the above recitations are true and correct,
6) That the Planning Commission grants SV 89-2 approving deletion ( five-foot parkway requirements along Avenida Encinas from P; Airport Road to approximately 2,000 feet north thereof.
C) That SV 89-2 is granted based on the following findings:
1. The circumstances or conditions appl icabl e to this si unusual. The existing street section and adjacent deve 1 ess than current standard. The proposed request will otherwise substandard roadway system.
2. No drainage problems will occur.
3. The proposed variance will not confl ict with existing traffic, parking, pedestrian or bicycle demands.
4, The public welfare or private property rights are not (

5. The proposed variance will not adversely affect the cor General P1 an.
