A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CARLSI
CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING CERTIFICATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL IMF
REPORT, EIR 86-5, FOR A PROJECT GENERALLY INCLUDING RESTOMTI01
TIDAL FLUSHING TO BATIQUITOS LAGOON THROUGH DREDGING
CONSTRUCTION OF A TIDAL INLET STRUCTURE.
CASE NAME: BATIQUITOS LAGOON ENHANCEMENT PROJECT
CASE NO.: EIR 86-5
WHEREAS, a verified application for certain property to wit:
Batiquitos Lagoon as bounded by El Camino Real on the east, La
Costa Avenue and the shoreline on the south, the shoreline on the
north and the Pacific Ocean on the west.
has been filed with the City of Carlsbad and referred to the Planning Commission; i
WHEREAS, said verified application constitutes a request as provided by Til
Carlsbad Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did, on the 18th day of July, 1990,
noticed public hearing as prescribed by law to consider said request; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and considering all tes
arguments, if any, of all persons desiring to be heard, said Commission considerel
relating to the project and;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Planning Commissior
A) That the FOREGOING recitations are true and correct.
B) That the Environmental Impact Report EIR 86-5 will be amended to include tl

That the Planning Commission finds and determines that the Environmental 11:
EIR 86-5 has been completed in conformance with the California Environmf
Act, the state guidelines implementing said Act, and the provisions of Tit
Carlsbad Municipal Code and that the Planning Commission has reviewed, co;
evaluated the information contained in the report.
That with the exception of impacts identified in 3) below, each and ever
