A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CARLSl
CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF A PLANNED 1
DEVELOPMENT ON PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED NORTH OF LUCIERN
STREET BETWEEN CEBU PLACE AND URBU STREET.
CASE NAME: COSTA PALMAS
CASE NO: PUD 89-18
WHEREAS, a verified application for certain property to wit:
Lots 396 and 397 of La Costa Meadows Unit No. 2 according to Map No. 69(
recorded on April 21, 1971 in San Diego County
has been filed with the City of Carlsbad and referred to the Planning Commission;
WHEREAS, said verified application constitutes a request as provided by Ti
Carlsbad Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did, on the 1st day of August, 1990,
noticed public hearing as prescribed by law to consider said request; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and considering all te
arguments, if any, of all persons desiring to be heard, said Commission considert
relating to the Tentative Tract Map and Planned Unit Development.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Planning Commissio
A) That the above recitations are true and correct.
B) That based on the evidence presented at the public hearing, the Planning
APPROVES PUD 89-18, based on the following findings and subject to t conditions:
Findings:
1. The project is consistent with the City's General Plan since the proposed d
dudacre is within the density range of 8 - 15 dus/acre specified for the sit€
on the Land Use Element of the General Plan, and is at or below the growth
of 11.5.
2. The site is physically suitable for the type and density of the development
is adequate in size and shape to accommodate residential development a
proposed.

3. The Planning Commission has, by inclusion of an appropriate condition to
ensured building permits will not be issued for the project unless the Ci
detennines that sewer service is available, and building cannot occur withir
