PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 3171
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING
APPROVAL OF THE FINAL ARCHITECTURAL AND SITE
DESIGN FOR THE PROPOSED CITY LIBRARY ON PROPERTY
GENERALLY LOCATED SOUTH OF THE FUTURE DOVE
LANE WEST OF EL CAMINO REAL.
CASE NAME: SOUTH CARLSBAD LIBRARY
CASE NO.; DI 90-3
WHEREAS, a verified application for certain property to wit:
Lot 1 of Carlsbad Tract No.. 82-23 in the City of Carlsbad,
County of San Diego, City of California according to the map
thereof number 11002 filed in the office of the County
Recorder of said County and a parcel of land being a portion I i of record of survey number 9900, County of San Diego, City
of California filed in the office of the County Recorder of said
County together with those portions of the west half of the
northeast corridor of section 26, township 12 south, range 4
west, San Bernardino Meridian in the County of San Diego, i
City of California according to the official plat thereof.
has been filed with the City of Carlsbad and referred to the Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, said verified application constitutes a request as provided by
Title 21 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did on the 5th day of December,
1990, consider said request; and
WHEREAS, at said hearing, upon hearing and considering all testimony and
arguments, if any, of all persons desiring to be heard, said Commission considered all
factors relating to the Discussion Item; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Planning Commission
as follows:
A) That the foregoing recitations are true and correct.
B) That based on the evidence presented at the hearing, the Commission APPROVES
DI 90-3, based on the following findings and subject to the following conditions:

Findings:
1. The proposed architecture and site design, as shown on Exhibits "A" - "G", dated
December 5,1990, meets the intent of and is in harmony with Site Development
~
Plan, SDP 86-11 (A).
Conditions:
1. Approval is granted for DI 90-3, as shown on Exhibit(s) "A" - "G", dated December I
5, 1990, incorporated by reference and on file in the Planning Department.
Development shall occur substantially as shown unless otherwise noted in these
conditions.
2. Approval of DI 90-3 is granted subject to approval of ZCA 90-1.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Planning
Commission of the City of Carlsbad, California, held on the 5th day of December, 1990,
by the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Chairperson Schramm, Commissioners: Schlehuber, Holmes,
McFadden, Marcus & Hall.
NOES: Commissioner Erwin.
ABSENT: None.
ABSTAIN: None.
