PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTTON NO. 3226
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A
DETERMINATION THAT WIDENING PALOMAR AIRPORT
ROAD TO PRIME ARTERIAL STANDARDS IS CONSISTENT
WITH THE GENERAL, PLAN.
CASE NAME: PALOMAR AIRPORT ROAD
CASE NO: PCD/GPC 90-5
WHEREAS, a verified application for certain property to wit:
A section of Palomar Airport Road approximately 1000 feet
east of El Camino Real to Avenida de la Rosa which is
roughly 2.95 miles,
has been filed with the City of Carlsbad and referred to the Planning Commission; an(
WHEREAS, said verified application constitutes a request as provided b
Title 21 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did on the 5th day of June, 1991
consider said request; and
WHEREAS, at said hearing, upon hearing and considering all testimony anc
arguments, if any, of all persons desiring to be heard, said Commission considered a1
factors relating to the Planning Commission Determination; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Plandng Co&ss;or
as follows:
A) That the foregoing recitations are true and correct.
B) That based on the evidence presented at the public hearing, the Commission
APPROVES PCD/GPC 90-5, based on the following findings and subject to the
following conditions:
Findings:
1. Palomar Airport Road is identified in the General Plan as a Prime Arterial.

2. The widening of Palomar Airport Road will better serve the present and hturt
mobility needs of Carlsbad.
3, This circulation element roadway is being developed concurrent with the need.
Conditions:
1. All conditions of Planning commission Resolution No. 3225 for PCD/GPC 90-5 arc
applicable to this approval and incorporated herein by reference.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Plannin;
Commission of the City of Carlsbad, California, held on the 5th day of June, 1991, by thc
following vote, to wit:
AYES: Chairperson Holmes, Commissioners: Schlehuber, Schramm
Savary, Erwin, Noble & Hall.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
ABSTAIN: None.
