PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 3454
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A
DETERMINATION OF GENERAL PLAN CONSISTENCY FOR
A CITYWIDE SIDEWALK PROGRAM.
CASE NAME: CITY OF CARLSBAD SIDEWALK PROGRAM
CASE NO: PCD/GPC 92-04
WHEREAS, State Law requires the City to adopt a General Plan to gui
development and outline goals for a balanced community, including the provision
public facilities such as sidewalks; and
WHEREAS, programs developed for the provision of these public facilit
must be reviewed for consistency with the goals and policies of the General Plan; an
WHEREAS, in order to implement the General Plan, a Pedestrian Actic
Plan with five key elements was approved by the City Council in March 1988; and
WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad Sidewalk Program was designed to N1
Key Element Number Two of that action plan.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did on the 4th day of Novembc
1992, consider whether or not the City of Carlsbad Sidewalk Program is consistent wi
the General Plan and fulfills Key Element Number Two of the Pedestrian Plan;
WHEREAS, at said hearing, upon hearing and considering all testimony a]
arguments, if any, of all persons desiring to be heard, said Commission considered :
factors relating to the Planning Commission Determination; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Planning Commissic
