A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A MINOR
MASTER PLAN TEXT AMENDMENT TO ALLOW DIRECTIONAL
MASTER PLAN, AND OTHER MINOR REVISIONS INCLUDING
A SIGN FOR THE AVIARA GOLF CLUB AND RESTAURANT AT
THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF ALGA ROAD AND
BATIQUITOS DM.

WHEREAS, a verified application has been filed with the City of Carlsbad ar

WHEREAS, at said meeting, said Commission considered all factors relat

A) That the foregoing recitations are true and correct.
B) That based on the evidence presented at the meeting, the Commission APPRO1
MP 177(H), according to Exhibit 'Y', and Exhibits "A - B", dated January 6, 1s
incorporated by reference and on file in the Planning Department, based on
following findings and subject to the following conditions:

1. The proposed master plan amendment is minor in nature because it does not change
the densities or the boundaries of the property, or involve an addition of a new use
not already found within the master plan.

4 2. The proposed master plan amendment is consistent with the regulations regarding
community identity sign programs and off-site signage, as described in sections 5 21.41.075(a) and 21.41.050(3) of the Carlsbad Municipal Code.
6 3. The proposed off-site sign is consistent with the intent of the Aviara Master Plan
7 regarding signage function, design, and aesthetic value.

4. The proposed master plan amendment is consistent with current City standards
regarding street name signage.
