CASE NAME: AVIARA SIGN PROGRAM REVISION CASE NO: MP 177(HI SIGNAGE FOR MAJOR PUBLIC-USE FACILITIES WITHIN THE 8 referred to the Planning Commission; and 9 WHEREAS, a verified application has been filed with the City of Carlsbad ar lo ll WHEREAS, said verified application constitutes a request as provided by Tit 11 12 21 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code; and 13 I/ WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Code, the P1ann.i 14 15 Commission did, on the 6th day of January, 1993, consider said request on proper described as: 16 17 18 Lot 96 of Carlsbad Tract No. 85-35 in the City of Carlsbad, County of S Diego, State of California, WHEREAS, at said meeting, said Commission considered all factors relat 19 1 to MP 177(H). 2o I NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Planning Commiss 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 of the City of Carlsbad as follows: A) That the foregoing recitations are true and correct. B) That based on the evidence presented at the meeting, the Commission APPRO1 MP 177(H), according to Exhibit 'Y', and Exhibits "A - B", dated January 6, 1s incorporated by reference and on file in the Planning Department, based on following findings and subject to the following conditions: .e.. 28 "" e 0 FilldiIl€?S: 1. The proposed master plan amendment is minor in nature because it does not change the densities or the boundaries of the property, or involve an addition of a new use not already found within the master plan. 1 2 3 4 2. The proposed master plan amendment is consistent with the regulations regarding community identity sign programs and off-site signage, as described in sections 5 21.41.075(a) and 21.41.050(3) of the Carlsbad Municipal Code. 6 3. The proposed off-site sign is consistent with the intent of the Aviara Master Plan 7 regarding signage function, design, and aesthetic value. 8 9 4.
