PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 3662
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING
APPROVAL OF AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND USE
ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN FROM OFFICE TO
TRAVEL SERVICES ON PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED
EAST OF CARLSBAD BOULEVARD AT ANACAPA.
CASE NAME: SEAPOINTE RESORT
CASE NO: GPA 93-04
WHEREAS, a verified application for an amendment to the Ge:
designation for certain property located, as shown on Exhibit "A", dated May
attached and incorporated herein, has been filed with the Planning Commissi
WHEREAS, said verified application constitutes a request for a]
as provided in Title 21 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did, on the 18th day of R,
hold a duly noticed public hearing as prescribed by law to consider said requl
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and consit
testimony and arguments, if any, of all persons desiring to be heard, said Cc
considered all factors relating to the General Plan Amendment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Planning Cc
of the City of Carlsbad, as follows:
A) That the above recitations are true and correct.
B) That based on the evidence presented at the public hearing, the Cc
recommends APPROVAL of GPA 93-04, based on the following fir
subject to the following conditions.

1. The proposed land use is similar in intensity to the existing land use.
2. The nearby hcina Wastewater Treatment Facility has successfully takt
reduce by-product odors.

3. There are sufficient buffers surrounding the project site to accomoi

4. The South Carlsbad State Beach campground is similar to the proposed u

PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
Commission of the City of Carlsbad, California, held on the 18th day of May,
the following vote, to wit:
AYES: Chairperson Savary, Commissioners: Betz, Erwin, Hz
Schlehuber & Welshons.
NOES: None.
ABSENT: None.
ABSTAIN: None.
