PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 3955
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING
APPROVAL OF A STREET NAME CHANGE FROM
DESCANSO BOULEVARD TO ISLAND WAY AND FROM
PONTO DRIVE TO SURFSIDE LANE FROM CUL-DE-SAC TO
CUL-DE-SAC IN THE SOUTHWEST QUADRANT
CASE NAME: DESCANSO BOULEVARDRONTO DRIVE
STREET NAME CHANGE
CASE NO.: SNC 95-02
WHEREAS, Continental Commercial Corporation has filed a ve
application with the City of Carlsbad which has been referred to the Planning Commission; ;
WHEREAS, said verified application constitutes a request for a street
change as shown on Exhibit “A”, dated August 17,1996, on file in the Planning Depart
and as provided by City Council Policy Statement No. 20; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Policy No. 20, the Pla
Commission did on the 7th day of August, 1996, hold a duly noticed public hearing to con
said proposed street name change; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and considering all testil
and arguments, if any, of all persons desiring to be heard, said Commission considered all fa
relating to the street name change.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Plsu
Commission as follows:
A) That the above recitations are true and correct.
B) That based on the evidence presented at the public hearing, the Commi:
RECOMMENDS APPROVAL of Street Name Change, SNC 95-02 base
the following findings and subject to the following conditions:

1. That the proposed new street names using nautical terms satisfy the street r
requirements for Zone 5 according to City Council Policy No. 20.

2. That all costs relative to this street name change will be borne by the applicant.
Conditions:
1. Staff is authorized and directed to make or require the Developer to make all correc
and modifications to the Street Name Change Documents, as necessary to make
internally consistent and conform to City Council's final action on the pr
Development shall occur substantially as shown on the approved exhibits. Any pro]
development substantially different from this approval, shall require an amendmt
this approval.
2. The applicant shall reimburse the City for any expenses related to char
Descanso Boulevard and Ponto Drive to Island Way and Surfside Lane, su(
emergency response maps and data bases and street signs.
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Pla
Commission of the City of Carlsbad, California, held on the 7th day of August, 1996, b
following vote, to wit:

Noble, Savary and Welshons
