PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 4048
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, RECOMMENDING
APPROVAL OF A STREET NAME CHANGE FROM CORTE
DOLOR TO CORTE CLARITA IN THE SANTA FE TRAILS
SUBDIVISION IN THE SOUTHEAST QUADRANT OF THE
CITY IN LOCAL FACILITIES MANAGEMENT ZONE 1 1.
CASE NAME: CORTE DOLOR STREET NAME CHANGE
CASE NO.: SNC 96-03
WHEREAS, Centex Homes has filed a verified application with the C
Carlsbad which has been referred to the Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, said verified application constitutes a request for a street
change as shown on Exhibit “A” dated January 15, 1997, on file in the Planning Depar
and as provided by City Council Policy Statement No. 20; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did on the 15th day of January
hold a duly noticed public hearing to consider said proposed street name change; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and considering all testj
and arguments, if any, of all persons desiring to be heard, said Commission considered all f
relating to the street name change.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Pla
Commission as follows:
A) That the above recitations are true and correct.
B) That based on the evidence presented at the public hearing, the Comm
RECOMMENDS APPROVAL of Street Name Change SNC 96-03 based
following findings and subject to the following conditions:

26 1. The proposed street name change is consistent with City Council Policy No. 2
Street Naming and Addressing Policy, in that the main name fits the Spanish
27 theme for the southeast quadrant; the designation Corte is an allowed desigl
for a cul-de-sac street; and the total number of letters and spaces is less than 1t

2. The proposed street name change will not cause congestion or confusion in th:
main street name of Clarita is not used elsewhere in the City.
Conditions:
1. The Planning Commission does hereby RECOMMEND APPROVAL of the
Name Change entitled Corte Dolor Street Name Change (Exhibit “A” dated Jal
15, 1997) on file in the Planning Department and incorporated by this reference, s
to the conditions herein set forth. Staff is authorized and directed to make or requj
Developer to make all corrections and modifications to the Street Name C,
documents, as necessary to make them internally consistent and in conformity wit1
Council’s final action on the project. Development shall occur substantially as sho7
the approved exhibits. Any proposed development substantially different fron
approval, shall require an amendment to this approval.
2. The applicant shall reimburse the City for any expenses related to changing (
Dolor to Corte Clarita, such as emergency response maps and data bases.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Pla
Commission of the City of Carlsbad, California, held on the 15th day of January 1997,l
following vote, to wit:
AYES: Chairperson Nielsen, Commissioners Compas, Heineman, Mc
Noble and Savary
NOES: None
ABSENT: Commissioner Welshons
ABSTAIN: None
