A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CA€USBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A
TO ALLOW AN INCREASE IN THE NUMBER OF CHILDREN
AND A TIME EXTENSION ON PROPERTY GENERALLY
LOCATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF CENTELLA STREET AT
ITS SOUTHERN TERMINUS IN LOCAL FACILITIES
MANAGEMENT ZONE 6.
CASE NAME: CARLSBAD BOYS AND GIRLS CLUB
CASE NO. : CUP 87-05(A)
WHEREAS, Boys and Girls Club of Carlsbad, “Developer”, has filed a
application with the City of Carlsbad regarding property owned by Presbytery of Sal
“Owner”, described as
CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT AMENDMENT TO CUP 87-05
Lot 180 of Map No. 8059 in the City of Carlsbad, County of
San Diego, filed on July 22,1975
(“the Property”); and
WHEREAS, said verified application constitutes a request for a Conditi
Permit Amendment as shown on Exhibit “A” dated May 1, 1987, on file in the
Planning Department, Boys and Girls Club (CUP 87-05), as provided by Chapter 2l.d
Carlsbad Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did, on the 19th day of Novemb
hold a duly noticed public hearing as prescribed by law to consider said request; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and considering all t
and arguments, if any, of all persons desiring to be heard, said Commission considered e
relating to CUP 87-05(A).

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the
Commission of the City of Carlsbad as follows:

A) That the foregoing recitations are true and correct.
B) That based on the evidence presented at the public hearing, the Con
APPROVES Conditional Use Permit Amendment CUP 87-05(A), base
following findings and subject to the following conditions:
Findings:
1. That the requested use is necessary or desirable for the development of the comn
essentially in harmony with the various elements and objectives of the General 1

adequately and no changes are being proposed which would require ac
facilities or improvements.
Conditions:
1. The Planning Commission does hereby APPROVES the Conditional Use
Amendment for the project entitled Boys and Girls Club (Exhibit “A” dated
1987, on file in the Planning Department and incorporated by this reference, SI
the conditions herein set forth.) Staff is authorized and directed to make, 01

document(s), as necessary, to make them internally consistent and in confom
final action on the project. Development shall occur substantially as show

shall require an amendment to this approval.
2. All of the conditions contained in CUP 87-05, Planning Commission Resolutiol
2661, and CUP 87-05x1 (Planning Commission Resolution No. 3467, are hc

3. This Conditional Use Permit is granted for a period of five (5) years from thc
expiration (December 2,1997), or from December 2,1997 to December 2,20
Conditional Use Permit shall be reviewed by the Planning Director on a yearlq
