HomeMy WebLinkAbout1997-12-17; Planning Commission; Resolution 4206r 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 0 a PLANNING COMMISSION RESOLUTION NO. 4206 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT TO DEVELOP PROPERTY WITHIN THE EL CAMINO REAL CORRIDOR ON PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED EAST OF EL CAMINO REAL BETWEEN FARADAY AVENUE AND THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL WATER DISTRICT OFFICES IN LOCAL FACILITIES MANAGEMENT ZONE 5 CASE NAME: CARLSBAD COMMERCE PARK CASE NO: SUP 97-05 WHEREAS, Franklin Croft LLC, “Developer”, has filed a verified ap with the City of Carlsbad regarding property owned by Beckman Instruments, Inc., ‘I described as Parcel 2 of Parcel Map No. 13598, in the City of Carlsbad, County of San Diego, State of CA, as filed in the office of the County Recorder of San Diego County, September 18,1985 as file no. 85-344096. (‘the Property”); and WHEREAS, said verified application constitutes a request for a Spe Permit (Amendment) as shown on Exhibit(s) “A” - “L” dated December 3,1997, on fi Planning Department Carlsbad Commerce Park SUP 97-05 , as provided (the condj approval of SUP 97-05 and Chapter 21.40 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did on the 3rd day of Decembc and on the 17th day of December 1997, hold a duly noticed public hearing as prescribe( to consider said request; and WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and considering all te and arguments, if any, of all persons desiring to be heard, said Commission considered a1 relating to the Special Use Permit; r1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 e a A) That the foregoing recitations are true and correct. B) That based on the evidence presented at the public hearing, the Con APPROVES Special Use Permit SUP 97-05 based on the following find subject to the following conditions: Findings: - 1. The project is consistent with the El Camino Real Corridor Development St in that the one common characteristic that melds the various componenl corridor in this area is a “campus” look which the project promotes. The Planning Commission does hereby APPROVE (of) the Special Use Perm project entitled Carlsbad Commerce Park (Exhibit(s) “A” - “L” dated Decc 1997, on file in the Planning Department and incorporated by this reference, s the conditions herein set forth.) Staff is authorized and directed to make, o Developer to make, all corrections and modifications to the Special Us( document(s), as necessary, to make them internally consistent and in confom final action on the project. Development shall occur substantially as show approved Exhibits. Any proposed development substantially different from this i shall require an amendment to this approval. 2. Approval of SUP 97-05 is granted subject to the approval of SDP 97-08.
