CASENAME: GENERAL PLAN, ZONING & LOCAL COASTAL PROGRAM CONSISTENCY PROJECT PHASE I CASE NO: LCPA 97-04 WHEREAS, California State law requires that the Local Coastal I General Plan, and Zoning designations for properties in the Coastal Zone be in conforma WHEREAS, the City of Carlsbad Planning Department, has filed a application for an amendment to the Mello I1 Segment of Local Coastal Program desi regarding property described on Exhibits “A”-“E”, dated March 18, 1998, attached he made a part hereof ; and WHEREAS, said verified application constitutes a request for a Local Program Amendment as shown on Exhibit(s) “A” - “E” dated March 18, 1998 as pro Public Resources Code Section 30574 and Article 15 of Subchapter 8, Chapter 2, Divisic Title 14 of the California Code of Regulations of the California Coastal Con Administrative Regulations; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did on the 1 st day of April 1991 duly noticed public hearing as prescribed by law to consider said request; and WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and considering all te and arguments, if any, of all persons desiring to be heard, said Commission considered a1 relating to the Local Coastal Program Amendment. 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 0 0 WHEREAS, State Coastal Guidelines requires a six week public review p any amendment to the Local Coastal Program. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Commission of the City of Carlsbad, as follows: A) That the foregoing recitations are true and correct. B) At the end of the State mandated six week review period, starting on 1997, and ending on September 4,1997, staff received no comments o 97-04. That the proposed Local Coastal Program Amendment is consistent with all a1 policies of the Mello I1 Segment of the Carlsbad Local Coastal Program, in parcel's Local Coastal Program land use and zoning designations would be I to an Open Space (OS) designation to reflect the fact that the parcels ar dedicated open space park land or restricted by an open space easement. 2.
