CASE NAME: TYLER COURT APARTMENTS ACQUISITION CASE NO: PCD/GPC 99-04 7 II 8 /I WHEREAS, the Carlsbad Redevelopment Agency, “Developer”, ha: 9 10 verified application regarding property owned by Tyler Court Partners, LTD, a Missour Partnership, “Owner”, described as 11 3363 Tyler Street (“the Property”); 12 and 13 WHEREAS, said verified application constitutes a request for a l4 16 September 15, 1999, attached hereto and made a part hereof and on file in the l5 Commission Determination for General Plan Consistency as shown on Exhibit ‘‘1 Department TYLER COURT APARTMENT ACQUISITION, PCD/GPC 99-04 anc l7 11 65402 of the California Government Code; and 18 11 19 /I WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did on the 15th day of Septemk 2o 11 consider said request; and 21 WHEREAS, at said hearing, upon hearing and considering all testin 22 arguments, if any, of all persons desiring to be heard, said Commission considered a 23 relating to the PCD/GPC. 24 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the Planning Co: 25 26 as follows: A) That the foregoing recitations are true and correct. 27 28 B) That based on the evidence presented at the hearing, the Commission API TYLER COURT APARTMENT ACQUISITION, PCD/GPC 99-04, the following findings: 11 PC RES0 NO. 4638 1 P e I’ 1 Findinm: a 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 1. This project is consistent with the goals, objectives and policies of the City’s Ger in that it provides special need affordable housing opportunities for very extremely low income senior households. 2. The project is consistent with the Land Use and Housing Elements of the Gener; that it meets the pertinent goals, objectives and policies to provide for hous and density ranges to meet the diverse economic and social requirements of r and more specifically the special needs of low income seniors within the City. 3. The property acquisition is consistent with the high priority the City has i within the Housing Element of the General Plan and the City’s federally- Consolidated Plan to provide affordable housing for low income households. 4. The Regional Housing Needs Statement indicates a substantial need for opportunities in the low and very low income ranges, and the subject project 7 that need by providing 75 units of rental housing affordable to very extremely low senior households.
