A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A
JULY 16, 2003 AND AN INDEFINITE EXTENSION OF A
CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO CONTINUE THE
OPERATION OF THE SENIOR CENTER AND THE
CARLSBAD UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT ADMINISTRATIVE
OFFICES LOCATED AT 801 PINE AVENUE IN LOCAL
FACILITIES MANAGEMENT ZONE 1.
CASE NAME: SENIOR CENTER
RETROACTIVE 4-YEAR AND 7 MONTH EXTENSION TO
CASE NO.: CUP 88-04x1
WHEREAS, City of Carlsbad, “Applicant/Owner,” has filed a verified
application with the City of Carlsbad described as
Lots 17 through 32, inclusive in Blocks 45 and 46; Lots 1
through 32 inclusive in Blocks 59 and 60, in the City of
Carlsbad, County of San Diego, State of California, according
to Map thereof No. 775 filed in the Office of the County
Recorder of San Diego County, February 15,1984
(“the Property”); and
WHEREAS, said verified application constitutes a request for a Conditional Use
Permit Extension as shown on Exhibits “A” - “D” dated February 2, 1988, on file in the
Carlsbad Planning Department SENIOR CENTER - CUP 88-04x1, as provided by the
conditions of approval of CUP 88-04 and Chapter 21.42 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission did, on the 17th day of December, 2003,
hold a duly noticed public hearing as prescribed by law to consider said request; and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, upon hearing and considering all testimony
and arguments, if any, of all persons desiring to be heard, said Commission considered all factors
relating to the CUP Extension.
WHEREAS, on the 19th day of May, 1988, the Planning Commission approved
SENIOR CENTER - CUP 88-04 as described and conditioned in Planning Commission
Resolution No. 2731.
