II ORDINANCE NO. 3007 AN ORDINAHCE: ANENDIMG AND ADDING TO ORDINANCE NO.. c- 3005 OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD ASD ESTdBLISHING SPEED ZOMES ON CARLSBAD BOULEVAED. The City Council of the City of Cmlsbad does ordain as follows: SECTION P, The following paragraphs shall be added to, appended to, and become a part of, Section 80 of' Ordinance No. 3005 of the City of Carlsbad: *All of Carlsbad Boulevard between the Northerly lirnits of the City of Carlsbad and the bridge which extends across the Agua Hedionda shall have the declzred prima facie speed limit of twenty-five (25) niles per hour, *All of Carlsbad Boulevard between the bridge which extends across the Agua Kedionda and Terramar Drive shall have the declared prima facie speed limit of thirty-five (35) miles per hour. aAll of Carlsbad Boulevard from Terramar Drive to a point twelve hundred (1200) feet South of Terramer Drive s hall have the declared prwa facie speed limit of twenty- five (23) miles per hour. of Carlsbad Boulevard from a point twelve hundred (1200) feet South of Terramar Drive to the Southerly llmits of the City of Carlsbad shall have the declared prima facie speed limit of thirty-five (35) miles per how," SECTION 2, The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby directea to cmse this Ordinance to be published once in the Carlsbad Journal, a newspaper published and of general circulation in the said City of Carlsbad, SECTION 3. This Ordjnance is hereby declared to be urgent and necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety and shall take effect and be in force forthwith from and after its passage ad approval. The following is a statement of such urgency : +- The State of California bs relinquished. said highivay to the City of Carisbad on -the 1st day of December, 1953, and such relinquishment by the State has the force and effect of removing said highway from the operation of State traffic Iaws. The City of Car1sba.d desires that the speed of trzbff5.c on said highway be immedietely reduced for the protee- tion of the public peace, health and safety.
