AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CaRLSBAD CHANGIXG
OF THB AREA BOUNDED ON THE NORTH BY TKE FIRST
ALLEY SOUTH OF ELM AVEm AND THE NORTH PROPER-

ON THE EAST, BY THE WEST SIDE OF ROOSEVELT STREET,
OH TKE SOUTH BY THE IORTH SIDE OF 0.A.K AV’JSUJ3, flND
0% THE WEST BY THE CENTER-LTPJE OF THE ATCHISON,
TOPEKA & SANTA FE RAILROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY, ALL Ypj
THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, FROM ZONE R-3 AND ZONE C-1
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission has reconmended that an
area bounded on the North by the first alley South of Elm Avenue
and the Morth property line of Lot 21, Block 33, Carlsbad Townsite;
on the East, by the West side of Roosevelt Street, on the South by
the North side of Oak Avenue, and on the West by the Center-line of
the Atchison, Topeka 8c Santa Fe Railroad right-of-way, be qhanged
from Zone R-3 and Zone C-1 to Zone C-2.
WHENAS, the City Council of the City of Carlsbad finds that
public necessity and convenience require that such zone changes be
made ;
NOW TREREFORE, pursuant to Ordinance No. 9005, the City Council
of the City of Carlsbad does ordain as followss
SECTION 1.
All that property in the City of Carlsbad, County of
San Diego, State of California:
That, those lands described ass
Lots 21 to 32, inclusive, of Block 33, CarSsbad Townsite, according to Map thereof No. 535, filed in the Office of the County Recorder May 2, 1888.
ALSO Lots 4 to 9 inclusive, and Lots 13 to 18, in- clusive of Resubdivision of portion of Tract 106, Carlsbad

Lands, according to Map thereof No. 3710, filed in the Office of the County Recorder December 9, 1919.
ALSO all the Northeasterly half of the Atchison, Topeka 8c Santa Fe Railxoad right-of-way lying between the South- westerly prolongation of the Northwesterly line of said Lot 4, Resabdivisfon of Tract 106, and the Northeasterly line of Oak Avenue extended.
be and the same hereby are changed from Zone R-3 and Zone C-1
to Zone C-2, and the same shall be subject to all the privileges
and restrictions and uses prescribed in C-2 as set forth in
Ordinance Ro. 9005 of the City of Carlsbad.
SECTION 2, This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force on
the thirty-first day from and after its final passage.
SECTION 3% The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby
directed to cause this Ordinance to be published once in the
Carlsbad Journal, a newspaper published and of general circulation
in said City of Carlsbad.
First read at a regular meeting of the City Council of said City
held on the 20th day of July , 1954, and f3aally adopted and
ordered published at a regular meeting of said Council held on the
24th day of August , 1954, by the following vote:
AYES: Cmn. Suttob, Helton, Castorena, hyor McClellan.
NAYS: None.
