AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, P HE RECOGNIPION, REGULA- T ANCE OF THE VOLUNTEER

AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NO, 2005.
OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD,
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad does ordain as follows: I
SECTION 1. RECoGNITIC3N OF THE VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPART- 1

t MENT OF THE CITY OF CABLSBAD. Recognition is hereby extended to
the existence of the nonprofit corporation entitled "Carlsbad Volunteer Fire
Department'*, organized pursuant to Part I, Division 2 and Title 1 of the
Corporation Code.

SECTION 2. PURPOSE, The purpose of the Carlsbad Volunteer Fire
Department is to aid the Carlsbad epartment in any and all emergencies.
SECTION 3. SUPERVISION. It shall be the duty of the Fire Chief of

suspend or remove from service any volunteer officer or fireman.

duties of the Chief while so acting.
SECTION 4. QUALIFICATIONS FOR MEMBERSHTP. Membership

SECTION 5. ORDINANCE NO. 2005 REPEALED, OrdinanceNo,
2005 is hereby repealed.
SECTION 6. SEVERABILITY If any section, subsection, sentence,
clause or phrase of this Ordinance is for any reason held to be unconstitutional
such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this
Ordinance, The legislative body hereby declares that it would have passed
this Ordinance and each section, subsection, sentence, clause and phrase
irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, subse ctions,
sentences, clauses or phrases be declared unconstitutional.
SECTION 7. EFFE IVE DATE, This ordinance shaU take effect and
be in force on the thirty-first day from and after its adoption,
