ORDINANCE NO. 3064.
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 3062 REGARDING
THE LICENSING OF BICYCLES.

The City Council of the City of Carlsbad does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO. 3062 IS =REBY AMENDED
TO READ AS FOLLOWS :

The Chief of Police of the City of Carlsbad is hereby author-
ized and directed to issue upon written application, a bicycle
license which shall be effective for a period of ten (10) years
from the date of issuance during the period of time such
licensee-, retains title to such bicycle.

“SECTION 2. VIOLATION: PENALTY. Any person
violating any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be
tF guilty of a misdeameanor.
SECTION 3. SECTION 11 OF ORDINANCE NO. 3062 AMmDED. Section
11 of Ordinance No. 3062 is hereby amended to read as follows:
?3ECTION 11. IMPOUNDING OF BICYCLES. The
Police Department and every member thereof, is hereby
authorized to direct or to remove and hold in the office of
the Police Department all bicycles which are found being
I ridden or parked in violation of this ordinance, until deter-
mination of the penalty period. rt

32 SECTION 4. SECTION 12 OF ORDINANCE NO. 3062 REVOICED. Section 12
of Ordinance No. 3062 is hereby revoked.

SECTION 5. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall take effect and
be in force on the 31st day from and after its final passage. I
SECTION 6. PUBLICATION. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad
is hereby directed to cause this ordinance to be published once in the Carlsbad
Journal, a newspaper published and in general circulation in the City of
