ORDINANCE NO 6034
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD
AMENDING SECTION 42 OF ORDINANCE
NO. 6005 OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD REGARDING BUSINESS LICENSE FEES FOR
HOTELS, APARTMENT HOUSES, BOARDING- HOUSES, ROOMING HOUSES, LODGI NGHOUSES,
ETC.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. SECTION 42 OF ORDINANCE NO. 6005 AMENDED.
Section 42 of Ordinance No. 6005 is hereby amended to read as follows:
If Section 42. Hotels, apartment houses, boardinghouses, rooming house:
lodginghouses, etc.
houses, boardinghouses, rooming houses, lodginghouses, motor courts,
motels, trailer camps, trailer courts and similar businesses having two
(2) or more rental units shall pay license fees according to the gross
receipts of said business, pursuant to the schedule as set out in Section
65 and Section 66 of Ordinance No. 6005; provided, however, that for
the purposes of determining annual gross receipts for persons owning
two (2) or more separate such businesses within the City of Carlsbad,
the gross receipts from all such businesses owned by one person may
be considered in computing the total gross receipts upon which the
business license fee is to be paid.
SECTION 2. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall take effect and
