AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD
AMENDING CERTAIN SECTIONS QF ORDINANCE NO, 6015 RE: CARDROQMS,
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad does ordain as followa
SECTION 1, SECTION 2 OF ORDINANCE NO, 6015 AMENDED,
Section 2 of Ordinance No, 6015 is hereby amended to read as
follows:
"SECTION 2 : "CARDRO0M""DE NED, For the purpose of this
chapter, a "Cardroom" is defined to be any space, room,
or enclosure furnished or equipped with a table used ar
intended to be used its a card table for the playing
of cards and similar
SECTION -- 3, SECTION 5 OF ORDINANCE NO, 6015 AMENDED,

conduct more than one (I) cardroom, No cardroom license
I shall be assignable or transferable, Once a Licensee hereunder
establishes a cardroom at a specific location h not

Any license issued hereunder shall autcsm ally become
revoked upon the accurence of any of the following conditions:.
(a) If after the issuance of a License, the licensee tdoes
not; begin operation of a cardroom within six mopths
from the date of issuance, The license? hereunder may,
upon written application to the City Council therefore
be granted one additional six month period within which
to begin operation of a cardroom,
(b) If, after the beginning of a cardroom, the licensee
ceases operation of his cardroom for a period of thirty (30) days
or longer ,f*

SECTION 4: SECTION 15 OF .ORDINANCE #6015 REPEALED.
Section 15 of Ordinance 86015 is hereby repealed.
SECTION 5. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall take effect
