ORDINANCE NO. 6036
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS
27AND 65, AND REPEALING SECTIONS
28,54 AND 57 OF ORDINANCE NO. 6005.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad does ordain as follows:
SECTION lr SECTION 27 OF ORDINANCE NO. 6005 AMENDED.

SECTION 27: Amusements not otherwise provided for.
(a) For every exhibition, show, entertainment or game, other than
those herein otherwise specifically provided for, showing or play-
ing in a tent, where an admission fee is kharged, or a contribution
ted or received, $150.00 per day for the first day, and
$75.00 per day for each day thereafter.
(b) For every street exhibition, or other outside exhibition show
or performance, not otherwise provided for in this a
an admission fee or a collection is solicited, taken or received,
or where any goods, wares or merchandise of any kind are offered
for sale or given away, which is not otherwise specifically pro-
vided for in this article, $30.00 per day.
(c) For legitimate theatrical or operatic performance, perform-
ing in a building provided for such preformance, and which is not
given, held or conducted as an incident to the conducting of any
other business licensed hereunder, $15.00 per day.
(d) For every person conducting, managing or carrying on any
show or exhibition not otherwise in this article specifically pro-
vided for, where the maximum admission fee charged does not
exceed $0.25, $5.00 per day; $30.00 per month.
(e) Where the maximum admission fee of more than $0.25, but
not to exceed $0.50 is hcarged, $10.00 per day; $60.00 per month.
(f) Where a maximum fee of more than $0.50 is charged, $20.00
per day; $120.00 per month.

(9) Nothing in this section shall be deemed or construed to (9) Nothing in this section shall be deemed or construed to
authorize the holder of any license provided for in this section
to conduct, maintain or carry on any other business in connection
with such exhibition or show without first obtaining a license so
to do as this article provides, in the event that a license to conduct,
maintain or carry on any such business is required under the
provisions of this article.
(h) This section shall not apply to Automotive Drag Raceways
which shall be licensed under and pay the license fees provided
for under section 65 of Ordinance No. 6005 (Gross Receipts).
Each of the businesses referred to in paragraphs (a) to
(h) both inclusive of this section shall be subject to special per-
mit from the council to be first obtained.
SECTION 2: The schedule of gross receipts and license fees of section
65 of Ordinance No. 6005 is hereby amended to read as follows:

SECTION 3: Sections 28, 54, 57 of Ordinance No. 6005 are hereby re- -
pealed.

services, shall pay the sum of $50.00 per year per person so
engaged.

SECTION 5: EFFE This ordinance shall take effect
and be in force on the first day of January, 1965,
