AN ORDINANCE OF THE CI TY OF CARLSBAD AMEND1 NG
SECTION 9 OF ORDINANCE NO. 5010A REGARDING
NOTIFI CATI ON TO ABATE NU1 SANCE,
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. SECTION 9 OF ORDINANCE NO. 5010A AMENDED,
iection 9 of Ordinance No. 5010A is hereby amended to read as follows:

the Public Works Director to abate a nuisance pursuant to
Section 8 above, the Public Works Director shall thereupon send
by United States Mail, notices of the hearing date upon which
NOTI CE TO ABATE. If the City Council directs
the City Council will hear and consider objections and protests
pursuant to Section 10 below, to the owners of affected property
as shown on the last equalized assessment roll of the County.
SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect
mmediately.because it is for the immediate preservation of the public health
nd safety in that there are presently in the city many lots with overgrown
reeds thereon, which constitute a fire hazard during the present summer season,
nd immediate action to abate said nuisances is necessary for the preservation
f the public health and safety.

PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City
f Carlsbad, at an adjourned regular meeting held on June 9, 1965, by the
3llowing vote, to wit:
