ORDINANCE NO. 1094
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD SETTING THE TAX RATE FOR THE CITY OF
CARLSBAD AND THE 'IC1 TY OF CARLSBAD
SEVKER DISTRICT NO. 2" FOR THE FISCAL
YEAR 1965-66.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. There shall be, and there hereby is levied a property tax in
he amount of ninety-nine cents ($. 99) for General Fund Operation on each One
Sundred Dollars ($100.00) of property valuation of all taxable property within
;he City of Carlsbad, California, not exempt by law from tax as assessed by
;he County Assessor of the County of San Diego for the 1965-66 fiscal year,
seginning July 1, 1965 and ending June 30, 1966, and equalized by the Board
3f Supervisors of the County of San Diego acting as the Board of Equalization
Df said County for the aforesaid fiscal year.
SECTION 2. There shall be and there is hereby levied a property tax in
the amount of two cents ($. 02) for sewer facilities on each One Hundred Dollars
($100.00) of property valuation of all taxable property within the City of
Carlsbad, not exempt by law from tax as assessed by the County Assessor of
Le County of San Diego for the 1965-66 fiscal

SECTION 3. There shall be, and there is hereby levied a property tax in

he City of Carlsbad, not exempt by law from tax as assessed by the County
Lssessor of the County of San Diego for the 1965-66 fiscal year, beginning
'uly 1, 1965 and ending June 30, 1966, and equalized by the Board of Super-
Tisors of the County of San Diego acting as the Board of Equalization of said
:ounty for the aforesaid fiscal year.
SECTION 4. There shall be, and there is hereby levied a property tax in
;he amount of twelve cents ($. 12) for library facilities on each One Hundred
Dollars ($100.00) of property valuation of all taxable property within the

assessed by the County Asses-
sor of the County fo San Diego for the 1965-66 fiscal year, beginning July 1, 1965
and ending J ne 30, 1966, and equalized by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of San Diego acting as the Board of Equalization of said County for the
Fiscal year.
SECTION 5. There shall be no levy of property tax within the "City of
Carlsbad Sewer District No. 2", for the 1965-66 fiscal year.
SECTION 6. There shall be, and there is hereby levied a property tax in
the amount of fifteen cents ($. 15) for public parks and boulevards, or both,
on each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00 ) of property valuation of all taxable
property within the City of Carlsbad, not exempt by law from tax as assessed
by the County Assessor of the County of San Diego for the 1965-66 fiscal year,
beginning July 1, 1965 and ending June 30, 1966, and equalized by the Board
of Supervisors of the County of San Diego acting as the Board of Equalization
of said County for the fiscal year.
SECTION 7. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall take effect on the date
of its passage and adoption, pursuant to the provisions of subsection (d) of
Section 36.937 of the Government Code of the State of California.
SECTION 8. PUBLICATION. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is here-
by directed to cause this ordinance to be pqblished once in the Carlsbad Journal,
a newspaper published'and of general circulation in the City of Carlsbad.
SECTION 9. The City Manager of the City of Carlsbad, acting in behalf of
the City Counci1,of the City of Carlsbad, shall immediately transmit to the County
Auditor of the County of San Diego, two (2) certified copies of this ordinance.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Carlsbad at a regular meeting held on the 17th day of August, 1965, by the fol-
lowing vote, to wit:
AYES: Councilmen Dunne, Neiswender, Atkinson, Hughes and Jardine. I 29 NOES: None.
