ORDINANCE NO. 7031
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD AMENDING SECTION 8 OF ORDINANCE NO. 7020 REGARDING SEWERS.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad does ordain as
fol 1 ows :
SECTION 1. Section 8 of Ordinance No. 7020 is hereby amended
to read as follows:
"SECTION 8. Connection fee. Before any propertyy,
not previously connected to the sewer system shall be
allowed to connect thereto, there shall be paid to the
City, in addition to any other proper charge,

SECTION 2. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall take effect
immediately becau e it is for the immediate preservation of the
public peaceg health, and safety, in that there is presently no
ordinance requiring payment of a connection fee within the City of
Carlsbad; the revenue to be produced thereby is necessary for the
payment of the expenses, repairs, and maintenance of the sewer
system of the City of Carlsbad; and that therefcre it is necessary
that this Ordinance imposing such a connection fee take effect
immediately in order to produce said needed monies.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby
directed to cause this Ordinance to be published Once in the Carlsb
Journal y, a newspaper published and of general circulation in the
City of Carlsbad.
