ORDINANCE NO. 1097
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD SETTING THE TAX RATE FOR'THE CITY OF CARLSBAD AND THE "CITY OF CARLSBAD SEMER DISTRICT NO. 2" FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1966-67.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad does ordain as follows
SECTION 1. There shall be, and there hereby is levied a pro-
Ierty tax in the amount of ninety-nine cents ($.99) for General Fund
)peration on each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) of property valu-
ition of all taxable property within the City of Carlsbad, Califor-
iia, not exempt by law from tax as assessed by the County Assessor
if the County of San Diego for the 1966-67 fisc year, beginning
July 1, 1966 and ending June 30, 1967, and equalized by the Board
Df Supervisors of the County of San Diego acting as the Board of
Equalization of said County for the aforesaid fiscal year.
SECTION 2. There shall be and there i hereby levied a proper-
ty tax in the amount of twenty-seven ($.27) cents for sewer facili-
ties on each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) of property valuation of
all taxable property within the City of Carlsbad, not exempt by law
from tax as assessed by the County Assessor or the County of San
Diego for the 1966-67 fiscal year, beginning July 1, 1966 and endin!
June 30, 1967, and equalized by the Board of Supervisors of the
County of San Diego acting as the Board of Equalization of said
county for the aforesaid fiscal year.
SECTION 3. There shall be, and there is hereby levied a pro-
perty tax in the amount of six cents ($.06) for park and recreation
facilities on each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) or property valu-
ation of all taxable property within the City of Carlsbad, not
exempt by law from tax as assessed by the County Assessor of the
County of the County of San Diego for the 1966-67 fiscal year, be-
ginning July l, 1966 and ending June 30, 1967, and equalized by the
Board of Supervisors of the County of San Diego acting as the Board
of Equalization of said county for the aforesaid fiscal year.

SECTION 4. There shall be, and there is hereby levied a pro-

.ies on each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) of property valuation
if all taxable property within the City of Carlsbad, not exempt
'rom tax as assessed by the County Assessor of the County of San
liego for the 1966-67 fiscal year, beginning July 19 1966 and ending
lune 30, 1967, and equalized by the Board of Supervisors of the
iounty of San Diego acting as the Board of Equalization of said

SECTION 5. There shall be no levy of property tax within the
'City of Carlsbad Sewer District No. 2", for the 1966-67 fiscal year

ierty tax in the amount of fifteen cents ($.15) for public parks and
)oulevards, or both, on each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) of pro-
ierty valuation of all taxable property within the City of Carlsbad,
lot exempt by law from tax as assessed by the County Assessor of
the County of San Diego for the 1966-67 fiscal year, beginning July
I, 1966 and ending June 30, 1967, and equalized by the Board of
Supervisors of the County of San Diego acting as the Board of Equali
zation of said County for the fiscal year.
SECTION 7. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall take effect
on the date of its passage and adoption, pursuant to the provisions
of subsection (d) of Section 36.937 of the Government Code of the
State of California.
SECTION 8. PUBLICATION. The City Clerk of the City of Carlsbi
is hereby directed to cause this ordinance to be published once in
the Carlsbad Journal, a newspaper published and of general circula-
tion in the City of Carlsbad.
SECTION 9. The City Manager of the City of Carlsbad, acti
in behalf of the City Council of the City of Carlsbad, shall
immediately transmit to the Auditor of the County of San Diego,
(2) certified copies of this ordinance.
