ORDINANCE NO. 4004
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD ESTABLISHING
CHARGE FOR INSTALLATION OF WATER METERS, SERVICE
CONNECTIONS, LOAN METERS, AND EXCHANGES 0.F METERS,

The City Council of the City of Carlsbad does ordain as
Eollows :
SECTION 1: Section 35 of Ordinance 4001 is hereby amended to
read as follows:
"SECTION 35: Applicants for installation of water
meters shall pay to the City,water meter installation
charges according to the following schedule:
WATER METER SIZE INSTALLATION CHARGE
5/8 inch meter $56.00
3/4 inch meter $78.30
1 inch meter $109.00
1 1/2 inch meter $205.00
2 inch meter $298.00
Over 2 inch meter Subject to Council
determination in eac case b
SECTION 2: Section 41 B of Ordinance No. 4001 is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 41B: Applicants for installation of service
connections shall pay to the City, service connection
charges according to the following schedule:
SERVICE CONNECTION SIZE INSTALLATION CHARGE
1 inch service $104.00
1 1/2 inch service $183.00
2 inch service $229*00
Over 2 inch service Subject to Council determination in eat case .
The water department of the City shall not allow a
consumer any credit for an exchange of old services fo:

SECTION 3: Section 41 C of Ordinanc
amended to read as follows:

"SECTION 41C: The water department of the City nay
connect a loan meter to any water service or service
pipe upon proper application. A charge of $25 per mete
per service location will be made for loan meters. The
meter will be installed by the City Employees and it wi
be removed by the City Employees. Any damage caused to
the meter by the negligence or carelessness of any pers
to whom a meter is loaned must be paid by such person
to the City on demand. Water delivered through such a
loan meter will be charged for at the usual City rates
including stand-by charges,"
SECTION 4: Section 41 A of Ordinance No, 4001 is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"SECTION 41A: When a consumer exchanges a smaller meter
for a larger meter, the water department of the City
shall give a credit of $35 for the smaller meter in
computing the cost of the larger meter,
