The City Council of the City of Carlsbad does ordain as

The City Council of the City of Carlsbad does ordain as

SECTION 1: It shall 5e unlawful for any person to occu2y as
a dwelling, or for living or sleeping quarters, any cam? car, cayp
truck, trailer, canpster, or other vehicle, or any tent, camp, or
temporary structure.
SECTION 2: It shall be unlawful for any person to erect or
pitch any tent, camp, or tenporary structure upon any beach, ?ark,
public street, alley, passageway or other 2ublic place.
SECTION 3: It shall be unlawful for any person to sleep in
any tent, caqj, temporary shelter, or in or upon any beach, park,
public street, alley, passageway or public place, or in any cam?
car, camp truck, trailer, cam?;lster, or other vehicle between the
hours of 7:OO P, >I,, of one day and 7:OO A. !I., of the next day.
SECTION 4: This ordinance shall take effect innediately
because it is for the Fnvediate preservation of the Fublic peace,
health, and safety in that there is presently no ordinance in the
City of Carlsbad restricting the ty2es of activity rnentioned in
this crdinance and it is necessary for the grotection of the public
health, safety, and welfare that such an ordinance be enacted
imnediately .
SECTION 5: PtJ3LLICATI\3Y. The City Clerk of the City of
Carlsbad is hereby directed to cause this ordinance to be publishec
once in the Carlsbad Journal, a newspa2er published and of general
