State of California, more particularly described in Exhibit "A",
attached hereto and made a part hereof is hereby excluded from the
City limits of the City of Carlsbad, and said territory is no
longer a part of the City of Carlsbad. I

SECTION 2. EFFECTIVE DATE. This Ordinance shall take effect ll
and be in force on the thirty-first day after its adoption.
SECTION 3. DATE OF PUBLICATION. The City Clerk of the City
of Carlsbad is hereby directed to cause this Ordinance to be pub-
lished once in the Carlsbad Journal, a newspaper published and of
general circulation in said City of Carlsbad, within fifteen (15)
days after its adoption.
INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at a regular meeting of the City
1 Council held on the 7th day of September, 1971, and finally passed,
approved and adopted at a regular meeting held on the 21st day of
September, 1971, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES : Cmn. Dunne, McComas, Jardine, Castro and Lewis.
NOES : None.
