HomeMy WebLinkAbout1972-12-19; City Council; 1153; CMC 3.12.150 amend - TOT receipts for general fund purposes1 2 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 31 32 ORDINANCE NO. 1153 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING SECTION 3.12.150 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE TO PROVIDE FOR USE OF A PORTION OF TAX RECEIPTS FOR GENERAL FUND PURPOSES. THE FISCAL YEAR 1972-73 TRANSIENT OCCUPANCY WHEREAS the annexation of the La Costa area has placed additional demands on the General Fund of the City in order to provide the area range of City se WHEREAS, fo 972-73 General Fund Revenues from said area will not be services ; and WHEREAS, there are Transi nt Occupancy Tax Funds generated in said fiscal year from La Cos activities which are available to meet the costs of City services for that area; and WHEREAS, it is in the public interest to use said funds for said purpose as necessary, up to, and not to exceed $60,000.0 on a one year basis only. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad as follows: Section 3.12.150 of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: "3.12.150 revenue to be placed in Parks and Recreation Fund , except as hereinafter provided. All net revenue from this tax, after collection costs have been deducte shall be placed in the Parks and Recreation Fund and expended therefrom for allowed purposes and recreationa program of said Fund. All monies previously collected from this tax and not expended shall be transferred to the Parks and Recreation Fund and expended therefrom for allowed purposes and recreational program of said d. For Fiscal Year 1972-73, an am nt up to but not to exceed $60,000.00 may be deposited in the - . 4 1 Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, held on the 5th day of December, 1972, and thereafter PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of said City Council held December 19, 1972, by the following vote, to wit: AYES: NOES: None.
