ORDINANCE NO. 3094
ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD AMENDING
SECTION 10.28.160 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL
CODE REGARDING STOP SIGN FOR NORTHBOUND
TRAFFIC ON CARLSBAD BOULEVARD AT STATE STREET
WHEREAS, the City Code requires northbound traffic on Carlsbad
loulevard to stop at State Street, and;
WHEREAS, the City Traffic Safety Commission has recommended
:hat the intersection configuration at the intersection of Carlsbad
3oulevard and State Street be modified to permit northbound
Zarlsbad Boulevard traffic to move freely and for southbound
Iarlsbad left turn movements to be yield controlled in order to
iromote increased vehicular safety;
IT IS THEREFORE ORDAINED that Section 10.28.160 of the
4unicipal Code is amended as follows:
10.28.160 State Street
Drivers shall stop where the following described streets
intersect State St.
Laguna Drive.
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall take effect and be in force
3n the 31st day from and after its adoption.
PUBLICATION: City Clerk of the City of Carlsbad is hereby directed
to cause the ordinance to be published once in the Carlsbad Journal
Mithin 15 days after its adoption.
First read at a regular meeting of the City Council of the Cit
of Carlsbad held on December 5, 1972, and finally passed, approved,
2nd adopted at a regular meeting held on 19th day of December,
1972, by the following vote, to wit:
AYES : Councilmen Dunne, McComas, Lewis, Chase and Frazee.
NOES : None.
ABSENT: None.
