HomeMy WebLinkAbout1973-01-16; City Council; 9341; CMC 5.24.145 amend - Watchman's trailer outside auto/trailer parkIf 32 I ORDINANCE No. 9341 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA AMENDING SECTION 5.24.145 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICI- PAL CODE BY ADDING PROVISIONS FOR A WATCH- MAN'S TRAILER. WHEREAS, on the 12th day of December, 1972, the Carlsbad City Plannidg Commission adopted Resolution No. 860, which is herewith referred to and made a part hereof; and WHEREAS, on.the 2nd day-of January, 1973 a'duty advertised Public Hearing, was held to .consider the proposed amendment to Section he .Carlsbad kJHEREAS, the City Council received a recommendations and heard all persons interested in or opposed to the proposed amendment; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Carlsbad as follows: SECTION 1. "Section 5.24.145 - Location of Trailers Outside of Auto and Trailer Park. It is unlawful within the limits of the City for any person to park an automobile trailer, trailer coach or trailer on the premises of any occupied dwelling or on any lot which is not a part of the premises of any occupied dwelling, which lot or premises are situated outside of a authorized automobile trailer park, except as follows: 1. One trailer may be parked in an accessory building, pri- vate garage, or in a rear yard in any zoning district, provided, that no living quarters shall be maintained or any business practiced in the trailer when such trailer is so parked or stored and; t 2. A trailer may be parked on the subject premises when uti1 t ized for the purposes of a watchman's unit with the approval of the City Manager, provided that the trailer is not used as a primary place of residence and that utilities meet the standards of the Count Health Department. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in force on the thirty-first day from and after its adoption. City of Carlsbad SECTION 3. PUBLICATION.
