AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 11, CHAPTER 11.24 OF THE MUNICIPAL
CODE BY THE ADDITION OF SECTION 11.24.022 IMPOSING A 45 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT FOR BOATS OPERATING ON THE AQUA HEDIONDA LAGOON.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad does ordain as
f 0 1 1 ow s :
SECTION 1. That Title 11, Chapter 11.24 of the Carlsbad
Municipal Code be amended by the addition thereto of Section
11.24.022 to read as follows:
Section 11.24.022 rlaximum Boat Speed Limit.
No person shall operate a boat at speeds in excess of
forty-five miles per hour except pursuant to a Special Operations
Permit issued by the Chief of Police upon authorization of the
City Council subject to such terms and conditions as the City
Council deems necessary.
EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance shall be effective thirty
(30) days after its adoption and the City Clerk shall certify
to the adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published
at least once in the Carlsbad Journal within fifteen (15) days
after its adoption.
INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at a regular meeting of the Carls-
bad City Council held on the 20thday of November , 1973,
and passed and adopted at a regular meeting of said City Council
held on the 4th day of December , 1973, by the
followsing vote, to wit:
