HomeMy WebLinkAbout1975-08-05; City Council; 9432; CMC 21.06.030 amend - Open space element rezones to O-S1 2 3 4 5 6 7 a 9 10 11 1% 12 0 14 2c I- o 21 2% 23 24 25 26 27 28 cm ORDINANCE NO. 9432 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING TITLE 21 OF THE CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING THE ZONING MAP TO GRANT A CJ3ANGE OF ZONE FROM A NUMBER OF ZONES TO 0-S (OPEN SPACE ZONE) ON PROPERTY LOCATED THROUGHOUT THE CITY OF CARLSBAD IN ACCORD WITH THE OPEN SPACE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN. The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, does ordain as follows: SECTION 1: Title 21 ofthecarlsbad Municipal Code is amended by the amendment of the zoning map to grant the following change of zones: 1. Buena Vista Elementary School Site, 1330 Buena Vista (approximately 9.2 acres) located southerly of LasFlores Drive, northerly of Buena Vista Avenue and easterly of Olive Drive, from unzoned to 0-S, as shown and more particularly described on Exhibit 1, Assessor's Map 156-12 attached hereto and made a part hereof. 2. Jefferson Elementary School Site, 3743 Jefferson Street (approximately 8.2 acres) located westerly of Jefferson Street between Magnolia Avenue and Tamarack Avenue, from unzoned to 0-S, as shown and more particularly described on Exhibit 2, Assessor's Map 204-28 attached hereto and made a part hereof. 3. Pine Elementary School Site, 801 Pine Avenue (approxi- mately 13.6 acres), located westerly of Harding Street, southerly of Pine Avenue and northerly of Palm Avenue, from unzoned to 0-S as shown and more particularly described on Exhibit 3 and 3a, 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 2 Assessor's Maps 204-10, 204-18 attached hereto and made a part hereof. 4. Magnolia Elementary School Site, 1905 Magnolia Avenue (approximately 10.9 acres), located southerly of Magnolia Avenue, westerly of Valley Street and northerly of Tamarack Avenue, from unzoned to 0-S,as shown and more particularly described on Exhibit 4, Assessor's Map 205-22 attached hereto and made a part hereof. 5. Valley Junior High School Site, 1645 Magnolia Avenue (approximately 20 acres), located southerly of Magnolia Avenue, westerly of Valley Street and northerly of Tamarack Avenue, from unzoned to 0-S, as shown and more particularly described on Exhibits 4 and 5, Assessor's Maps 205-22, 207-01 attached hereto and made a part hereof. 6. Carlsbad High School Site, 3557 Monroe Street (approxi. mately 34 acres), located southerly of Basswood, easterly of Valle] Street, westerly of Monroe Street and northerly of Chestnut Avenue, from unzoned to 0-S, as shown and more particularly de- scribed on Exhibit 6, Assessor's Map 205-14 attached hereto and made a part hereof. 7. Laguna Riviera Future School Site (approximately 8.3 acres), located southerly of Hillside Drive, westerly of Valley Drive and easterly of Cordoba Place, from unzoned to 0-S, as shown and more particularly described on Exhibit 7, Assessor's Map 207-24, Sheet 2, attached hereto and made a part hereof. 8. Maxton Brown Park (approximately 0.195 acres) , located easterly of State Street, northerly of Laguna Drive and southerly of the Buena Vista Lagoon, from R-P to 0-5, as shown and more particularly described on Exhibit 9, Assessor's Map 155-20 attached hereto and made a part hereof. 10. Carlsbad Sewage Disposal Site (approximately 1.4 acres) (proposed extension of Maxton Brown nark), located westerly of Carlsbad Boulevard, easterly of AT&SF railroad right-of-way, southerly of Buena Vista Lagoon, from C-M to 0-S, as shown and more particularly described on Exhibit 10, Assessor's Map 155-20 attached hereto and made a part hereof. 11. Holiday Park Site (approximately 5.4 acres), located easterly of Pi0 Pic0 Drive, southerly of Pine Avenue, westerly of Eureka Place and northerly of Chestnut Avenue, from unzoned to 0-S, as shown and more particularly described on Exhibit 11, Assessor's Map 205-11 attached hereto and made a part hereof. 12. Oak Park Site (approximately 0.18 acres), located westerly of Pi0 Pic0 Drive, north of Oak Avenue, from unzoned to 0-S, as shown and more particularly described on Exhibit 12, Assessor"s Map 156-18 attached hereto and made a part hereof. 13. Cannon Park (approximately 1.65 acres), located in the northeast quadrant of the intersection of Cannon Road and Carlsbad Boulevard, from P-U to 0-S, as shown and more particu- larly described on Exhibit 15, Assessor's Map 210-01 attached hereto and made a part hereof. 16. Buena Vista Lagoon (approximately 102 acres), located west of Interstate 5 and east of AT&SF right-of-way, from R-A to 0-S, as shown and more particularly described on Exhibits 16, 16a and 16b, Assessor's Map 155-14, 155-19 and 155-22 attached hereto and made a part hereof. 17. Area South and Southeast of Squires Dam (approximatell 89.98 acres), located approximately 5,600 feet north of Palomar Airport Road and approximately 4,700 feet northeast of El Camino Real, from R-A-10 to 0-S, as shown and more particularly described on Exhibit 17, Assessor's Map 169-23 attached hereto and made a part hereof. 18. Calavera Lake Property (approximately 252.6 acres), located southerly of Lake Boulevard, City of Oceanside, bounded on the east and north by the City of Oceanside and on the south by the unincorporated territory, County of San Diego, from R-A-10 to 0-S, as shown and more particularly described on Exhibits 19 and 19a, Assessor's Maps 168-02 and 168-04 attached hereto and made a part hereof. 20. Carlsbad Beach State Park (approximately 4,400 feet of beach area), extending between the extension of Oak Street and the entrance of Agua Hedionda, bounded on the east by the westerly right-of-way line of Carlsbad Boulevard, from unzoned to 0-S, as shown and more particularly described on Exhibit 20, Assessor's Map 204-31 attached hereto and made a part hereof. 21. Carlsbad Beach Area (approximately 4,500 feet of beach area), extending from the entrance to Agua Hedionda south to the northerly limits of Tierra Del Oro Subdivision bounded on the east by the westerly right-of-way line of Carlsbad Boule- vard, from R-T and P.U. to 0-s, as shown and. more particularly described on Exhibit 21, Assessor's Map 210-01 attached hereto and made a part hereof. 22. Pi0 Pic0 Park Site (approximately 0.76 acres), located easterly of Pi0 Pic0 Drive, northerly of Knowles Avenue and southerly of Buena Vista Way, from R-1-7500 to 0-S, as shown and more particularly described on Exhibit 24, Assessor's Map 156-23 attached hereto and made a part hereof. 25. Buena Vista Lagoon (approximately 42 acres), located east of Interstate 5, north of Jefferson Street, from R-A-10 to 0-S, as shown and more particularly described on Exhibits 25 and 25a, Assessor's Maps 154-14 and 154-18 attached hereto and made a part hereof. 26. Agua Hedionda Lagoon (approximately 189.1 acres in Upper Lagoon area, and approximately 20.3 acres in Center Bay area) located east and west of Interstate 5, from P-U to 0-S, as shown and more particularly described on Exhibit 26, Assessor's Map 210-01 and Exhibit 26a, Assessor's Map 211-01.
