ORDINANCE NO. 5046
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING
CHAPTER 6.02, SECTION 6.02.010 OF THE
CARLSBAD MUNICIPAL CODE WHICH INCORPOR-
ATES CERTAIN SECTIONS OF THE Sm DIEGO
COUNTY CODE OF REGULATORY ORDINANCES TO
AMEND SECTIONS 68.326 AND 68.333 OF THE
SAX DIEGO COUNTY CODE AND TO REPEAL SEC-
TIONS 68.334 AND 68.335 TO AMEND THE
REGULATIONS RELATING TO SEPTIC TANK
PERP'IITS.
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California,
does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1: Chapter 6.02, Section 6.02.010 of the Carlsbad qPG4e) c+) 3 Municipal, Code is amended by the addition of Subsections 0,
and (xgl'to read as follows:

W& I'M) Section 68.326 of the San Diego County Code of
Regulatory Ordinances adopted by reference by this section is
amended to read as follows:
Sec. 68.326. Application for Permit--Fee. Any person
desiring to install, construct, reconstruct, repair or add to,
a septic tank, settling tank, seepage pit, cesspool, subsurface
tile line system, or other subsurface sewage disposal unit or
system, or any part thereof, shall file with the Director a written application for a permit for such installation, con-
struction, reconstruction, repair or addition. A separate
application and permit for each installation shall be required.
The application shall be made upon a form prescribed and fur-
nished by the Director and shall be accompanied by an inspection
fee of $25.00. The application shall contain the following
information and such other information as the Director may
require: Street name and number of the premises where the
installation is to be made; the name and address of the owner; the name and address of the contractor who is to perform the work; the size and type of the septic tank, settling tank, cesspoo: or other subsurface sewage disposal unit or system to be installed and the number of people it is to serve. When required by the Health Officer the application shall include or be accompanied by a plan or diagram showing the character and kind of installatior
to be made and the manner and location in which the work is to be
done.

c'B3 Section 68.333 of the San Diego County Code of Regula-
tory Ordinances adopted by reference by this section is amended
to read as follows:
Sec. 68.333. Reinspections--Fee. When an inspection has
been ordered and the work is found to be not ready for inspection
and approval, the Director shall cause an official notice to be
posted on the job stating the changes necessary in order that the
work will comply with the requirements of this chapter, As soon
thereafter as practicable the owner or contractor shall cause the
changes to be made and upon completion thereof shall notify the
Department that the unit or system is ready for reinspection. As
soon thereafter as practicable the Director shall make or cause a
reinspection to be made.

The fee for each reinspection shall be $10.00, which
paid to the Director.
68.334 and 68.335 of the San Diego County
Code of Regulatory Ordinances adopted by reference by this
section are repealed."
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty
days after its adoption, and the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published at least
once in the Carlsbad Journal within fifteen days after its
adoption a
INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ at a regular meeting of the
Carlsbad City Council held on the 2nd day of September 1975,
and thereafter
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of said Council
held on the 16th day of SeDte mber , 1975, by the following
vote, to wit:
