ORDINANCE NO. 11 99
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CARLSBAD, CALIFORNIA, TO AMEND
THE CARLSBAD MUNICPAL CODE, SECTION
2.48.030 (7).
The City Council of the City of Carlsbad, California, does
ordain as follows:
"Section 2.48.030 (7) of the Carlsbad Municipal Code is herebj
amended to read as follows:
(7) "Employee, management" means any employee having
significant responsibility for formulating and adminis-
tering city policies and programs, including but not
limited to the following positions:
Assistant city manager;
Assistant to the city manager; Administrative assistant;
Public works administrator: Utilities-maintenance director; City engineering director; Director of building and housing;
Planning director; Finance director;
City clerk-license supervisor; Police chief; Fire chief;
Parks and recreation director; Personnel director;
Purchasing agent; City librarian; Fire battalion chief; Police captain; Assistant to the planning director; Assistant to the finance director; Water superintendent; Street superintendent; Recreation superintendent; Parks superintendent;
Redevelopment coordinator."
EFFECTIVE DATE: This ordinance shall be effective thirty
days after its adoption, and the City Clerk shall certify to the
adoption of this ordinance and cause it to be published at least
once in the Carlsbad Journal Newspaper within fifteen days

INTRODUCED AND FIRST READ in meeting of City Council of the
2ity of Carlsbad, California, held on 19th day of April
1977, and thereafter.
PASSED, APPROVED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the
City Council held on the 3rd day of May , 1977, by
the following vote, to wit:
AYES : Councilmen Frazeeb Lewis, Packard, Skotnicki and
NOES : None
ABSENT: None
